Paramount and Legendary’s Street Fighter opened in the United States on 16 October, in IMAX as well as standard screens, after reaching Dutch cinemas on 15 October. Olivier plays Zangief, the Russian wrestler, in a cast that includes Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Jason Momoa and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai and was shot in Australia in 2025.
Capcom released a free Zangief outfit for Street Fighter 6 inspired by Olivier’s version of the character, redeemable from the film’s US release day.
Street Fighter premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. On the red carpet Olivier told IGN he is training in Street Fighter 6 as Zangief and wants to enter a tournament.
Paramount released the first trailer for Street Fighter in April. At CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where the film was presented to cinema owners, Olivier spent much of his time posing for photos with fans.
The Street Fighter cast presented Best Ongoing Game at The Game Awards in Los Angeles and showed the film’s first footage. Capcom released the character posters the same night: “Olivier Richters is Zangief.”
Street Fighter moved to Paramount as Legendary’s first film under their new distribution deal, and the full cast was confirmed, with Olivier as Zangief.
British GQ profiled Olivier on four months of stunt training, seven meals a day and the year-long Reacher shoot that made him turn down two other films.
The third season of Reacher premiered on Prime Video with three episodes, then one a week until 27 March. Olivier plays Paulie, in the main cast of all eight episodes, opposite Alan Ritchson.
Olivier met fans at Heroes Dutch Comic Con in the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, on 23 and 24 November.
Eli Roth’s adaptation of the Gearbox game opened in Dutch cinemas on 8 August and in the US a day later. Olivier plays Krom.
Olivier’s casting in season 3 of Reacher became public, with the show’s account confirming it on Instagram soon after.
After its world premiere at Cannes in May, the fifth Indiana Jones film reached Dutch cinemas. Olivier plays Hauke, henchman to Mads Mikkelsen’s Voller.
Guinness World Records announced Olivier as the tallest professional bodybuilder, measured at 218.3 cm, ahead of the record’s appearance in the 2022 book.
Marvel Studios’ Black Widow opened, with Olivier as Ursa. The part grew on set from one week of filming to three.
For the launch of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Olivier did a Viking photoshoot and took a DNA test. The result: 48 percent Scandinavian.
